Norman BrayNorman Bray
With over 30 years of experience in the real estate business, Norman has served as Executive Vice President and Real Estate Broker of the Amelia Island Company since 1990. Before that, he was with the Sea Pines Company at Hilton Head Island, SC for 18 years. Norman has been a licensed Florida realtor for 16 years. As an avid golfer and fisherman, Norman enjoys the lifestyle at Amelia Island Plantation. He and his wife, Jane are residents of the Plantation and have two grown children, Ben and Melinda, and three grandchildren, Brayden, Connor and Evan and one on the way. Norman has been appointed by Governor Bush in 2005 to the Florida Inland Navigation District and is now serving as treasurer.
Lou SimmonsLou Simmons
One of the first residents of Amelia Island Plantation, Lou Simmons has been a Florida real estate agent for 28 years. An avid gardener Lou enjoys working in her rose garden at her marsh view home. She has raised three children on the resort, Vann; a real estate professional, Greg; a charter boat captain and Allyson; a real estate sales professional. Lou feels blessed to have all three of her children and their spouses and grandchildren living at Amelia.
John CrawfordJohn Crawford
A 30 year veteran with the Real Estate Sales Department here at Amelia Island Plantation, John has over 35 years of experience in Florida luxury real estate. A native of the south, John also spent time growing up on the island of Bermuda. John and his wife Emily are property owners here at the community where they raised their two daughters. John enjoys outdoor activities including playing tennis on the shaded courts of the resort.
William LorickWilliam Lorick
A member of Amelia Island Plantation's real estate team for 31 years, William started his career in real estate sales 35 years ago in Augusta, Georgia. He and his wife Fran live on the island and own property at the resort. They have three children, Abigail; who's starting her own line of ladies apparel, Barlass; attending college in Virginia, and Matt, who has also started a real estate career. William enjoys fishing, sailing and hiking.
Mel MandicMel Mandic
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Mel has been in the real estate business for over 30 years and has been selling real estate for the Amelia Island Company since 1994. Mel has the reputation of being a "details guy"; he's also an avid golfer, who enjoys playing all four of the resort's renowned courses, his favorite hole on the island in #6 Long Point.
Karen HealenKaren Healan
An early property owner here at Amelia Island Plantation, Karen has been with the resort for over 25 years. She oversees the Plantation's Long Term Rental program and has been a Florida real estate agent for 24 years. Karen and her husband Jack raised their two children Jack and Laura here at the resort. She enjoys relaxing at her marsh view home on the property, reading and spending time with her grandson and children living in the area.
John WatsonJohn Watson
John has over 30 years experience in the development, construction and sales of residential and commercial real estate. He began his career with Sea Pines Company as the Architect of Amelia Island Plantation. John has two adult children who love the resort as much as he does. He enjoys sailing and golf and believes Amelia is the perfect setting for both hobbies.
Joe CutajarJoe Cutajar
As a member of the Amelia Island Plantation family for more than 17 years Joe first arrived following graduation from the Culinary Institute of America in 1984. Joe came on board as a Chef and has served in various roles in the Hospitality Division lastly in the position of Director of the Amelia Island Club. In 2002 he assumed the role of Real Estate Sales Executive. Aided by the capable assistance of a Licensed Sales Assistant, Katie Burgess and Administrative Assistant, Debbie Mahon, Joe is confident in his and his team’s ability to meet and exceed the needs of buyers and sellers on Amelia Island Plantation. Joe resides in a turn of the century home in the historic district of Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island. He enjoys the outdoors and often takes his three sons on backpacking trips in the Georgia Mountains. An active member of the local community, Joe volunteers on various boards and committees in an effort to give back to the community he calls home.
